Our professors are involved in research that has real world applications. The above housefire was set as part of an experiment on cremated remains and their interpretation.
Our faculty and staff are practicing forensic scientists. In addition to their full-time regular academic duties, they also consult in a variety of legal cases for police services and the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario.
The faculty and staff in the Department of Forensic Science are always accessible to potential, current and graduated students. They are always ready to discuss student goals and provide counseling. This contributes to the personalized, "family"-like feeling of the program.
